Founder, Director of Initiative for Community Advancement

Jeremy Maarman and a Founder and Director of the Initiative for Community Advancement (ICA) based in the West Coast of South Africa. He completed his qualification in Community Development Work from the University of the Western Cape in 2006 and has since occupied positions in all spheres of government as well as at some of the top non-profit organisations in the West Coast. Jeremy has many years of experience in networking that has led to him bringing a number of international programmes to South Africa. Jeremy was instrumental in securing a license agreement from MyMachine Global Foundation to be the sole implementer of the award winning MyMachine programme in South Africa. He is also a contributing author of the book “What Is Your Dream Machine? How Children Change Education Worldwide”, explaining the context, and the why and how of MyMachine. The book has a foreword by Sir Ken Robinson and chapters written by a.o. The New York Academy of Sciences and Harvard University. The book is available worldwide as hardcopy and eBook.
