AFRIKA IS RISING!

small is MASSIVE!

ODA’s first Virtual Festival was streamed live from the V&A Waterfront on 27 October 2020,  at “Afrika is Rising Day”. On this day we celebrated the power of creativity through our design champions, unsung heroes, and changemakers. On this day we came together to unlock greater Afrikan potential and aspirations to design our thriving futures. Through a series of Afrikan stories and dialogues, workshops, and virtual coffee networking sessions; we brought Afrikan Inspirators and creatives together with a global audience to experience Afrikan greatness. Through Creativity and appropriate Innovation, we can impact one person’s life, a hundred, a thousand, and even a million. Our global audience also enjoyed the performance of great music talent from Cape Town who performed in different locations at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town during the breaks. Open Design Afrika is determined to keep this platform free of charge and accessible to everyone. The ODA team thanks everyone for their invaluable contribution, participation, and support.
