Open Design Afrika (ODA) is driven to effect systemic change that can benefit the greater good for generations.
Creativity develops a higher order of thinking. ODA builds capacity through creative experiences that develop Creative Intelligence (CI) in all citizens. CI includes human qualities and future-making life skills like empathy, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking that enable people to use their knowledge and skills to deliver products, systems, services, and environments that improve life and optimize their ability to effectively deal with unusual, new, and unexpected situations.
ODA is therefore contributing to the development of communities of problem solvers, future-makers, and changemakers: active global & Afrikan citizens that can confidently add value, significance, and meaning to the future world of business, our environments, and society at large. This we believe is a sound way to develop social and human capital that’s future-fit and able to take the reins and uphold the UN SDGs way into the future.

There are more than 2000 indigenous languages in Afrika and they all write Afrika with a “K”. To us Africa with a “C” as an external and outside worldview of Afrika. Afrika with a “K” is us as Afrikans taking ownership of our future and our destiny. It is an inward-looking out perspective of our Afrikan continent.
